Obsessions of a Crazy Girl {1}

I'm the type of girl that gets something stuck in her head, and just can't seem to get it out until she does/or says it.

It's a curse really.

And it's slowly driving my mom to insanity, I do believe.

Last year, I was totally obsessed with Photography. So I got an awesome camera.

The time before that, the guitar. So my dad borrowed a guitar from a friend.

The time before THAT I was obsessed with wattpad.com. Even though I'm really not even a writer. I got an account and was on it like every second of the day.

My list of obsessions goes on and on.

Where has my camera, guitar, and wattpad account gone? Well, my camera is sitting on my desk. The guitar was given back to the owner, and my wattpad account has been dead for some time now with multiple stories and only half finished chapters on it.

All these obsessions have one thing in common: they were REALLY short lived. It's not to say I don't enjoy photography, music, or writing anymore. But I'm not dreaming of it all day long.

But I've always been obsessed with one thing. At least since I was 9 years old.

Art.

And this is why I know I want to be an artist one day.

I know I'm an artist, because I've  been obsessed with it for so long. It may have started when I wanted to be a caricaturist when I was little. (which, by the way, I no longer plan to be. That ship has sailed... far far way.) Now I'm still drawing, and I'm still obsessed with the feeling of contentment that settles over me when I get a pencil in one hand, and my amazing sketchbook in the other.
So.
I guess it's safe to assume you are expecting more artwork from me, now that I've said all that?
If you do, than you're are very correct.

CAUTION: You must shield your eyes from the awesomeness that is before you. Peeta Mellark is just too amazing to look at sometimes.

 Oh Peeta. Marry me?

Run Peeta! RUNNN!!!!  (this is a picture from the trailer. I think this is the cornucopia scene)

This is probably my favorite scene in the book! So funny :)

Heehee...

Yum. Hello Alex Pettyfer. (his british accent is also delicious. Trust me. It's true.)

This is my digital Bob Ross painting!!!! It was SO much fun to make.

This is a picture I did for my good friend Becca :) Fang (from Maximum Ride) and Hawk (an oc of ours). They're so cool. mwahahhaa! ;)
And I also decided to do a cool bob ross background. Cool no?

And this is a before and after picture of an old drawing you've already seen. Amazing difference. This is what most of my pictures look like before I start editing them on Gimp 2.6. I wish I had a screen camera so that I could make a video of my drawing for y'all to watch.

This is my Deviantart ID. It's just so CUTE!

And I think that's about it for now. I have more upcoming pictures (or course), and perhaps I'll be able to come up with a tutorial video? I dunno. We'll see.

Anyways. If anybody has any requests, just comment and I'll be sure to get started on it! I'll post it as soon as I finish it. Remember, it's totally free! :)

Hello Again!

I've been such a bad girl. I haven't posted in about-- forever?

Well I've been busy, so I guess I have an excuse.

Recently on deviantart, I've been taking in more requests and I'm so excited! I've created quite a couple pieces that I really really like, and I think I might use one to use for a new blog design. :)

This was a request from my good friend, Jessica. We both have Hunger Games obsessions. If you haven't read the books-- read them! They're awesome-azing. :D

Yes. I love this one. It's currently one of my favorites. This one was sent in from a girl on deviantart. Once again, I love the Hunger Games!

The fire on their costumes made me really nervous at first. I had absolutely no idea how to draw it. Turns out, with a little help from my best friend Gimp 2.6, that it's pretty easy-- and fun! I think it turned out pretty nicely. What do you think???

This was sent in from a girl on deviantart too. It's supposed to be GlaDOS and Wheatley from Portal/Portal 2 which I've never heard of in my life until now. I think it's a video game. But I still like the picture. The background turned out pretty cool too, even if it is simple.

I also ended up drawing a lot of picture for my friend Becca for Christmas. Most of them are our characters from a book we're writing. And have been writing since about forever. It's a major part of our friendship ;)

This is me and her <3

This is one of her characters; Hawk. Yup. He has wings.

Mwahahaha! Doesn't this look epic? My character Megan is on the left, Becca's character Wynn is in the middle, and our friend Julia's character is on the right. :)

And this is a picture of the old version of our book. We've rewritten it a couple times, changing a few things. More like a lot.

And that would be why we're still writing it. haha!

And last but not least, I have a couple pictures that I made yesterday for fun. I was bored... and was supposed to be doing school. But my need to draw has just been growing lately. I love art. I love the feeling of drawing.

I think I'm going to use the panda picture for the design.

Whatcha think??

Be Crazy y'all!!

Hello There Christmas. Didn't see you there!

Well.

We have six days until Christmas.

Huh.

This past weekend we went to visit my grandparents house to have some Christmas fun. I got some really awesome presents!!!

*two very awesome sketchbooks (thank you Gram and Papa!)

*Charcoal and Graphite pencils to go with the sketchbooks (thank you Gram and Papa!)

*three different erasers that go to assorted pencils as mentioned above (thank you Gram and Papa!)

*An Owl ring from Charming Charlies! (Thank you Aunt Jan!)

*The rest of the Maximum Ride series!! (Thank you Gram and Papa!)

*An Alice in Wonderland teacup from Disney World!!!!!!! (THANK YOU Aunt Ashlie and Uncle Clark!)

Awesome right?! As soon as I opened my sketchbook stuff I started drawing. Heehee...

Obviously, these are the versions I edited on the computer. But they were originally sketches in my notebook. The first picture was in charcoal, and the lower one was a graphite.

Can you tell I've been on a Hunger Games rave as of late?

In other news, I recently downloaded GIMP 2.6 onto my computer!!! It's a photoshop software for anyone who doesn't know. I edited the above pictures on it, and I'm so happy I took the time to download it! It's AMAZING and soooo much better than picnik.com.

Trust me.

It's SO awesome.

XD

I've been very busy on deviantART.com lately too. It's so much fun! If you wanna check out my page go >>here<< I'd like it if you stopped by! I've got lots of art uploaded and recently people have been starting to notice me, which is pretty cool. A couple people are watching my art now, and I've even made a few friends. It's right up my alley XD

So anyways, I hope y'all had a great weekend and if you're on break than YAY FOR YOU!!! If not, don't worry. It's almost here. XD

Be Crazy Y'all and Hug Some Art,

Claire

{p.s.} I'm currently working on a request sent in from a friend of mine. Anyone else want a drawing made for them? Just click "Have a Request?" on my sidebar to check it out! XD

Requests: Sea-horse + Cinderella

So if you've read my last post, you'll know that I am now taking in art requests. So if you want something drawn for you for free, just click the little button on my sidebar that says "Have a Request?" and follow the instructions. It'll be fun! XD

So far I've had two requests. They were both really fun to make and I really enjoyed doing it!

#1:

Sea~horse!

Pretty cool, right? XD This was requested from somebody on deviantART.com (check out the site, it's awesome!) and I happily obliged. A glowing sea-horse? yes, please.

#2:

Cinderella!!!

Julia requested this one. Isn't it pwetty?? This is Cinderella right before midnight making her way back to her pumpkin carriage. <3 Can you see her shoe coming off? XD

At first I thought about making her look like in the movie, but then I decided that maybe I'd do my own version of her. She looks a little younger than in the movie, and she also doesn't have quite as much detail on her dress. But that's how I role. I'm mostly about the hair and face.

I really like this one :)

And that's it for now. I'm currently working on a request sent in from one of my bestest friends ever- Becca. :) So hopefully I'll be done with that one soon.

And one more thing before I leave. Since I finished this one, like, only five minutes ago, I'll go ahead and post it for you. It's just a quick doodle, but it's still pretty. It's my new profile pic on deviantART :)

Ahhh!!! I'm so jealous of her pockets. I think every dress should have pockets, don't you?

Be Crazy Y'all and Draw, Draw, Draw!
